Decision:

It is resolved that:

(A)      Council note the outcomes of the assessment undertaken by City staff of the effectiveness of outdoor alcohol restrictions based on an analysis of a full 12 months of data provided by NSW Police and the Bureau of Crime Statistics and Research;

(B)      Council approve the 30-day public exhibition of the proposed alcohol-free zones and alcohol prohibited areas in Woolloomooloo for a 4-year period as outlined in Attachments B and C to the subject report;

(C)      Council defer consideration of the 30-day public exhibition of the remaining proposed alcohol-free zones and alcohol prohibited areas on City streets and public places for a 4-year period as outlined in Attachments B and C to the subject report; and

(D)      the Chief Executive Officer be requested to prepare a further report for Councillors regarding the remaining applications for potential alcohol-free zones and alcohol prohibited areas, prior to the consideration of public exhibition.
