Moved by Councillor Gannon, seconded by Councillor Weldon –

It is resolved that:

(A)       Council note:

(i)         the Moore Park Road cycleway was initially designed to be temporary in nature with limited community consultation undertaken during design development;

(ii)        the cycleway has become an important east – west link for eastern Sydney;

(iii)       the parking arrangements on the southern side of the road are currently 1P from 7pm to 6am, 7 days a week;

(iv)       this parking arrangement was implemented by Transport for NSW; and

(v)        this parking arrangement is not suitable or necessary for the efficient use of Moore Park Road westbound; and

(B)       the Chief Executive Officer be requested to investigate options for timed parking changes in this area, including the implementation of timed parking outside of morning peak periods, and on weekends.
