Recommendation

It is recommended that the Committee endorse the following changes in O'Dea Avenue, Waterloo:

(A)      Footpath widening (14.5 metres wide on the bend) along the western side, between the points 8.6m and 69m north of Joynton Avenue;

(B)      Allocation of the western side, between the points 0m and 69m (six car spaces) north of Joynton Avenue, with a yellow "No Stopping" line;

(C)      Reallocation of parking on the northern side, between the points 43m and 80m (six car spaces) west of Joynton Avenue, as "2P 8am-8pm".

Decision

The Committee carried the recommendation unanimously and noted the addition of Condition D as follows:

D) Installation of a Shared Path along the western side, between Joynton Avenue and Sam Sing Street..

Background

The Development Consent for 18-20 O'Dea Avenue, Waterloo (D/2014/1837) requires the Applicant to widen the footpath on the western side of O'Dea Avenue, north of Joynton Avenue in accordance with the masterplan for the Lachlan Precinct.

The Applicant is also required to submit a signage plan for kerbside parking arrangements for the site’s frontage along O'Dea Avenue, to be referred to the Local Pedestrian, Cycling and Traffic Calming Committee.
