Recommendation

It is recommended that the Committee endorse the following reallocation of parking in George Street, Dawes Point, east of Lower Fort Street as:

(A)      "No Stopping" on the northern side of George Street, between the points 0 metres and 10 metres (two car spaces);

(B)      "No Parking Coaches Excepted 15 Minute Limit" on the northern side of George Street, between the points 10 metres and 32.5 metres (four car spaces);

(C)      "No Stopping" on the southern side of George Street, between the points 0 metres and 10 metres (two car spaces); and

(D)      "No Parking Coaches Excepted 15 Minute Limit" on the southern side of George Street, between the points 10 metres and 27.1 metres (three car spaces).

(E)      The City and Transport for NSW to review the "No Parking Coaches Excepted 15 Minute Limit" parking spaces in George Street six months after implementation.

Background

Following a review of the redundant Bus Zones in Dawes Point, Transport for NSW is proposing to reallocate the two Bus Zones in George Street to "No Parking Coaches Excepted 15 Minute Limit" improve access to parking for coaches.
