It is recommended that the Committee endorse the allocation of parking in Beaconsfield, as follows:

(A)      Eastern side of William Street, between the points 10.5 metres and 25.5 metres (three car spaces), as "P15 Minutes 7am-9am, 4pm-6pm, Mon-Fri” and “2P 9am-4pm Mon-Fri, 8am-8pm Sat-Sun”, and between the points 25.5 metres and 31.5 metres (one car space) north of Queens Lane, as "2P 8am-8pm”; and

(B)      Northern side of Queens Lane, between the points 23 metres and 36.5 metres (two car spaces) east of William Street, as "2P 8am-8pm".

Background

The Development Consent for 20-22 William Street, Beaconsfield (D/2016/1535/A) requires the Applicant to submit a signage plan for kerbside parking arrangements for the site’s frontage along William Street and Queens Lane, to be referred to the Local Pedestrian, Cycling and Traffic Calming Committee.

The Developer has also requested the consideration of P15 minute car parking spaces along the site's frontage in William Street to service the drop-off and pick-up needs of the new childcare centre proposed at this location.
