Recommendation

It is recommended that the Committee endorse the following reallocation of parking on the eastern side of Castlereagh Street, Sydney, north of King Street as:

(A)      "Loading Zone Ticket 6am-6pm Mon-Fri 6am-10am Sat” and “4P Ticket 6pm-10pm Mon-Fri 10am-10pm Sat 8am-10pm Sun & Public Holidays" between the points 90.8 metres and 101.2 metres (two car spaces);

(B)      "No Stopping" between the points 101.2 metres and 108.2 metres (two car spaces); and

(C)      "No Stopping" between the points 120.2 metres and 132.1 metres (two car spaces).

Background

Sydney Metro have applied for two temporary driveways in Castlereagh Street, outside 37-51 Martin Place, to facilitate construction works for the Martin Place south site.

To ensure unobstructed access to the temporary driveway, it is proposed to introduce “No Stopping” restrictions.
