Recommendation

It is recommended that the Committee endorse the following reallocation of parking on the eastern side of Bay Street, Ultimo, north of Broadway as:

(A)      “Loading Zone Ticket 6am-6pm Mon-Fri 6am-10am Sat” and “4P Ticket 6pm-12am Mon-Fri 10am-12am Sat 8am-12am Sun & Public Holidays” between the points 13.5 metres and 25.5 metres (two car spaces);

(B)      “No Parking Buses and Taxis Excepted 15 Minute Limit” between the points 25.5 metres and 38.7 metres (three car spaces); and

(C)      “No Stopping” between the points 38.7 metres and 48.7 metres (two car spaces).

Background

Broadway Shopping Centre has requested consideration of “No Parking” on the eastern side of Bay Street, opposite Grose Street, to improve access for delivery vehicles.

A review of parking on the eastern side of Bay Street, between Broadway and Grose Street, was also carried out to consider any opportunity to improve parking operations.
