Background

Under existing conditions, vehicles travelling westbound along Oxford Street and entering into Brisbane Street, turn at speed through the marked pedestrian crossing, failing to give-way for pedestrians. This scenario creates unsafe conditions for pedestrians crossing Brisbane Street.
