Decision
The Committee carried the recommendation unanimously.
Background
The City has received complaints from pedestrians that
vehicles travelling along Rothschild Avenue, Rosebery travel at speed through
the existing marked pedestrian crossings, at the intersection with Cressy
Street, and fail to give-way for pedestrians. Raising the pedestrian crossings
at this intersection would reduce vehicle speeds and increase pedestrian safety
and accessibility.
