Recommendations

It is recommended that the Committee note the reallocation of parking on the southern side of Nobbs Lane, Surry Hills between the following points west of the building line on Parkham Place:

(A)      Between 0 metres and 21.2 metres as “No Stopping”;

(B)      Between points 21.2 metres and 39.5 metres (seven cars spaces) as “No Parking, Langton Centre Vehicles Excepted” and “90° Degree Angle Parking”;

(C)      Between points 39.5 metres and 46.1 metres as “No Stopping”;

(D)      Between points 46.1 metres and 61.8 metres (six car spaces) as “No Parking, Langton Centre Vehicles Excepted” and “90° Degree Angle Parking”;

(E)      Between points 61.8 metres and 79 metres as “No Stopping”;

(F)      Between points 79 metres and 94.8 metres (six car spaces) as “No Parking, Langton Centre Vehicles Excepted” and “90° Degree Angle Parking”; and

(G)      Between points 94.8 metres and 118.6 metres as “No Stopping”.

Background

As part of the new arrangements for the CBD and South East Light Rail (CSELR) project, Transport for NSW is proposing 19 new angle parking spaces on operational land accessed through Nobbs Lane, Surry Hills between Olivia Lane and Parkham Place. The parking spaces would facilitate the operations at the nearby Langton Centre.
