Recommendation

It is recommended that the Committee endorse the following reallocation of parking on the eastern side of Castlereagh Street, Sydney:

(A)      Between 90.8 metres and 101.2 metres north of King Street as "Loading Zone Ticket 6am-6pm Mon-Fri 6am-10am Sat” and “4P Ticket 6pm-10pm Mon-Fri 10am-10pm Sat 8am-10pm Sun & Public Holidays"; and

(B)      Between 101.2 metres and 108.2 metres, and 120.2 and 132.1 metres north of King Street as "No Stopping".

The Committee carried the recommendation unanimously.

Background

The City has reviewed parking operations in [Street Name, Suburb] and identified high non-compliance by motorists with the existing parking restrictions. The City conducted surveys which found a high level of occupancy and non-compliance with existing restrictions which reduced available space for local residents.
