Decision

The Committee carried the recommendation unanimously.

Background

Under existing conditions, vehicles travelling westbound along Oxford Street and entering into Brisbane Street, turn at speed through the marked pedestrian crossing, failing to give-way for pedestrians. This scenario creates unsafe conditions for pedestrians crossing Brisbane Street.
