The Committee unanimously supported the recommendation.

Background

Some people with a mobility disability, including temporary disability, are dependent on car travel by a private vehicle to maintain their mobility and independence. The City of Sydney will prioritise on-street parking for this group.

A resident of Mansfield Street, Glebe, has requested consideration for a disability parking space on the western side Mansfield Street, north of Boyce Street. The resident holds a valid Mobility Parking Scheme (MPS) permit, requires wheelchair access and has off-street parking but it not suitable for wheelchair access.
