Recommendation

It is recommended that the Committee note the reallocation of parking on Devonshire Street, Surry Hills as follows:

(A)      Northern side between the points 0.0 metres and 101.1 metres, east of Elizabeth Street, as "No Stopping";

(B)      Northern side between the points 101.1 metres and 250.0 metres east of Elizabeth Street, as "No Parking";

(C)      Northern side between the points 250.0 metres and 287.9 metres, east of Elizabeth Street, as "No Stopping";

(D)      Northern side between the points 287.9 metres and 302.4 metres east of Elizabeth Street, as "No Parking";

(E)      Northern side between the points 0.0 metres and 50.0 metres east of Steel Street, as "No Stopping";

(F)       Northern side between the points 50.0 metres and 59.0 metres east of Steel Street, as "No Parking";

(G)      Northern side between the points 59.0 metres and 79.0 metres, east of Steel Street, as "No Stopping";

(H)      Northern side between the points 0.0 metres and 53.9 metres east of Riley Street, as "No Stopping";

(I)        Northern side between the points 0.0 metres and 20.9 metres east of Marlborough Street, as "No Stopping";

(J)       Northern side between the points 20.9 metres and 52.7 metres east of Marlborough Street, as "No Parking"; and

(K)      Northern side between the points 52.7 metres and 72.5 metres, east of Marlborough Street, as "No Stopping".

Background

Transport for NSW’s CBD and South East Light Rail (CSELR) project from Circular Quay to Kingsford and Randwick via Surry Hills started construction on 25 October 2015.

Work has now completed on the CSELR with changes made to the road network along and next to the light rail corridor such as road closures, direction of traffic flow, line marking and kerbside parking changes.
