Recommendation

It is recommended that the Committee note the reallocation of parking on Devonshire Street, Surry Hills as follows:

(A)      Northern side between the points 0.0 metres and 14.0 metres, east of Crown Street, as "No Stopping";

(B)      Northern side between the points 14.0 metres and 51.8 metres east of Crown Street, as "No Parking";

(C)      Northern side between the points 51.8 metres and 81.9 metres, east of Crown Street, as "No Stopping";

(D)      Northern side between the points 81.9 metres and 140.0 metres east of Crown Street, as "No Parking";

(E)      Northern side between the points 140.0 metres and 167.6 metres, east of Crown Street, as "No Stopping";

(F)       Southern side between the points 0.0 metres and 15.0 metres west of Bourke Street, as "No Stopping";

(G)      Southern side between the points 15.0 metres and 68.8 metres west of Crown Street, as "No Parking";

(H)      Southern side between the points 68.8 metres and 72.2 metres, west of Bourke Street, as "No Stopping";

(I)        Southern side between the points 0.0 metres and 8.2 metres, west of Nickson Street, as "No Stopping ";

(J)       Southern side between the points 8.2 metres and 21.8 metres west of Nickson Street, as "No Parking";

Background

Transport for NSW’s CBD and South East Light Rail (CSELR) project from Circular Quay to Kingsford and Randwick via Surry Hills started construction on 25 October 2015.

Work has now completed on the CSELR with changes made to the road network along and next to the light rail corridor such as road closures, direction of traffic flow, line marking and kerbside parking changes.
