Advice
The Committee unanimously supported
the recommendation.
Background
In August 2017, the Committee endorsed a proposed layout for a new street named Zetland Avenue, between Portman Street and Joynton Avenue, for delivery as part of the Green Square Town Centre.
The NSW Department of Education is proposing to construct a school on the southern side of Zetland Avenue and have requested short-term parking and disability parking restrictions to reflect the impending change in land use.
The installation of disability parking spaces requires
changes to the length and width of the previously approved indented parking
bays. As Zetland Avenue is currently under construction, it is proposed to
implement the requested changes as part of the initial construction of the
road.
