Recommendation

It is recommended that the Committee endorse the following reallocation of parking on the eastern side of 28 - 52 Harrington Street, The Rocks, south of Argyle St as:

(A)      Loading Zone Ticketless Meter 7am - 6pm Mon-Fri, 5am - 10am Sat-Sun, between 8 metres and 25 metres. (3 spaces)

(B)      2P Parking 6pm-10pm Mon – Fri, 10am - 10pm Sat - Sun between 8 metres and 25 metres. (3 spaces)

(C)      Kiss and Ride between 39 metres and 70 metres (4 spaces)

The Committee unanimously supported the recommendation and noted the additional of Condition:

(D)      5-minute Parking between 55.5 metres and 70 metres (2 spaces).

Background

Place Management NSW (PMNSW) has requested endorsement for the conversion of parking times outside of 28 - 52 Harrington St, The Rocks on 'Loading Zone' times and '2P meter parking' and '5 Minute parking' to align with other parking zones within The Rocks precinct.

The proposed changes will increase parking options and opportunities for retailers, visitors and businesses in the area therefore improving the customer experience.
