Advice
The Committee unanimously supported the recommendation.
Background
In April 2018, the City consulted on the Alexandria Local Area Traffic Management Plan, which recommended several traffic calming treatments to mitigate the impacts of WestConnex on local roads and improve safety.
The City has nearly completed the installation of various approved traffic treatments in Alexandria which include a footpath continuation across Power Avenue at Wyndham Street.
Associated with the above traffic treatment is an approved
footpath widening on the eastern side of Wyndham Street, just north of Power
Avenue to provide safe access for pedestrians crossing the street. However, a review of this treatment was
requested by residents.
