The temporary road
All kerb space parking will be removed, but residents will have access to an off-street carpark installed by TfNSW for the duration of the construction project. Access to the car park for residents will be via Wilson Street and provisions for disability parking will be available in the car park.
The road closure will require the cycleway from Wilson Street to be temporarily diverted into mixed traffic arrangements along Ivy, Abercrombie and Lawson Streets.
The University Shuttle Bus has already been moved from Little Eveleigh Street into Gibbons Street, adjacent to the Railway Station, so that this service will not be impacted by the road closure.
The existing car share space in Little Eveleigh Street will be temporarily withdrawn as two car share spaces already exist in Lawson Street and one in Abercrombie Street in the near vicinity.
All residents along the street have been consulted by TfNSW and Novo Rail and are aware of the impacts
This is to allow a proposed Shared Zone to be constructed as part of the Redfern Station upgrade involving the new pedestrian bridge.
The Applicant has already notified affected stakeholders as stipulated in Schedule B.
