Recommendation
It is recommended that the Committee endorse the reallocation of parking on the northern and southern sides of Rutland Street as follows:
On the northern side, west of Elizabeth Street
(A) between the points 0 metres and 9.8 metres as “No Stopping”;
(B) between the points 9.8 metres and 20 metres (2 car space) as “Loading Zone 8am-6pm Mon-Fri” and “2P 6pm-10pm Mon-Fri, 8am-10pm Sat, Sun & Public Holidays Permit Holders Excepted Area 18”;
(C) between the points 20 metres and 26.4 metres as “No Stopping”;
(D) between the points 29.3 metres and 35.0 metres as “No Stopping”;
(E) between the points 35.0 metres and 43.8 metres as (1 car space) “Loading Zone 8am-6pm Mon-Fri” and “2P 6pm-10pm Mon-Fri, 8am-10pm Sat, Sun & Public Holidays Permit Holders Excepted Area 18”;
(F) between the points 43.8 metres and 52.1 metres as “No Stopping”;
(G) between the points 61.6 metres and 70.0 metres as “No Stopping”;
(H) between the points 70.0 metres and 87.8 metres (3 car spaces) as “2P 8am-10pm Permit Holders Excepted Area 18”;
(I) between the points 87.8 metres and 93.8 metres as “No Stopping”;
(J) between the points 98.0 metres and 108.8 metres as “No Stopping”; and
(K) between the points 108.8 metres and 121.8 metres (2 car spaces) as “Loading Zone 8am-6pm Mon-Fri” and “2P 6pm-10pm Mon-Fri, 8am-10pm Sat, Sun & Public Holidays Permit Holders Excepted Area 18”.
On the southern side, west of Elizabeth Street

The Committee unanimously supported
the recommendation.
Background
Transport for NSW’s CBD and South East Light Rail (CSELR) project from Circular Quay to Kingsford and Randwick via Surry Hills has made it necessary to remove most of the parking along the light rail corridor including Devonshire Street.
A review including consultation with residents and
businesses has been done to provide alternative loading zones on side streets
next to the light rail corridor.
