Advice
The Committee carried the recommendation unanimously out of session.
Background
At the July 2018 Local Pedestrian, Cycling and Traffic Calming Committee meeting, the Committee endorsed a proposal to temporarily introduce a 25 metre long Works Zone in Gresham Street, Sydney to facilitate construction works at 23-33 Bridge Street, Sydney.
The proposal includes the reallocation of parking on the northern side of Spring Street as “Bus Zone” to offset the loss of bus parking spaces in Gresham Street.
The relocated Bus Zone is now inaccessible due to the change
in traffic conditions following the closure of Spring Street to eastbound
traffic at Pitt Street.
