It is recommended that the Committee endorse the reallocation of parking on the western side of Belmore Street, Surry Hills between the points 10 metres and 17.8 metres south of Albion Way as "Disability Parking Only".

Background

A business owner and staff member in Belmore Street, Surry Hills has requested a disability parking space in the street, to provide safe access to their workplace. The applicant has advised they are not in a wheelchair but cannot physically walk far.

The City is proposing a full time Disability Parking space to facilitate other residents and visitors in the area outside the business operating hours.
