Decision details

It is resolved that Council:

(A)       endorse the initial scope proposed for Dixon Street as described in the subject report for progression to design development which will include further engagement through the process;

(B)       note that prior to progression to construction of the works, a Dixon Street concept design and detailed scoping report with financial implications will be prepared for Council approval;

(C)       note an updated Chinatown Public Domain Plan informed by the Haymarket consultation process with project priorities and opportunities for the Chinatown/Haymarket area will be prepared for Council approval; and

(D)       note that the broader Thematic History of Chinatown study and the Economic Study that are currently underway will inform design development of the project, as well as opportunities for public art integration within the precinct.
