Recommendation

It is recommended that the Committee endorse the installation of "No Entry 8.30am-9am 2.30pm-3pm School Days Bicycles Excepted" on the eastern and western sides of Upper Fort Street before the access to the NSW Department of Education's property boundary.

It is recommended that the Committee note the following traffic treatment and parking changes at the southern end of Upper Fort Street, Millers Point which is located with the NSW Department of Education property boundary:

(A)      Installation of the pedestrian and cycle crossing; and

(B)      Reallocation of parking to "No Stopping".

The Committee unanimously supported the recommendation and noted the pedestrian and cycle treatments – TFNSW has requested the treatments be referred back to the Committee for endorsement once details of the crossing has been agreed.

Background

Condition B50 of the approved State Significant Development of Fort Street Public School (SSD-10340) requires the applicant to make a submission to the Committee to introduce traffic treatment and parking changes in Upper Fort Street, Millers Point.
