It is recommended that the Committee endorse the installation of the following treatment in Rosebery:

(A)      A raised pedestrian crossing across Rosebery Avenue, just south of Crewe Place.

(B)      A continuous footpath treatment across Crewe Place, just west of Rosebery Avenue.

Background

The City has received requests to improve safety for pedestrians crossing at the intersection of Crewe Place and Rosebery Avenue. Therefore, it is proposed to install a raised pedestrian crossing in Rosebery Avenue and a continuous footpath treatment across Crewe Place to enhance pedestrian priority, facilitating safer pedestrian links at the Crewe Place and Rosebery Avenue intersection and reduce vehicle speeds.
