Recommendation

It is recommended that the Committee endorse the following traffic treatments and parking changes at the intersection of Murray and Bunn Streets, Pyrmont;

(A)      Installation of a raised pedestrian crossing and kerb islands in Bunn Street, west of Murray Street;

(B)      Installation of a raised pedestrian crossing and kerb islands in Murray Street, south of Bunn Street;

(C)      Reallocation of parking on the northern and southern sides of Bunn Street, between the points 0 metre and 25.5 metres, west of Murray Street as "No Stopping;

(D)      Reallocation of parking on the western side of Murray Street, between the points 0 metre and 20.5 metres, south of Bunn Street as "No Stopping";

(E)      Reallocation of parking on the western side of Murray Street, between the points 13 metre and 21 metres, north of Bunn Street as "2P Ticket Permit Holders Excepted Area 20"; and

(F)       Reallocation of parking on the eastern side of Murray Street, between the points 7 metre and 19 metres, south of Bunn Street as "No Stopping".

Background

As part of City's commitment to improve pedestrian safety and encourage walking, the City is proposing to install two pedestrian crossings at the intersection of Murray and Bunn Streets, in Pyrmont.
