Recommendation

It is recommended that the Committee endorse the temporary road closure of Marriott Street, Redfern, between Cooper Street and Cleveland Street (three lanes) as follows:

·                from 7.30am on Monday 28 August 2023 to 5.30pm on Wednesday 30 August 2023, with contingency dates of 4 to 6 September 2023, 11 to 13 September 2023, 18 to 20 September 2023 and 25 to 27 September 2023

This closure is for the removal of the tower crane No 3.

·                from 7.30am on Monday 11 September 2023 to 5.30pm on Friday 15 September 2023, with contingency dates of 18 to 20 September 2023, 25 to 27 September 2023, 2 to 6 October and 9 to 10 October 2023

This closure is for the installation of steel and glass for Oculus.

subject to the following conditions:

(A)      The Applicant must comply with the temporary road closure conditions as mentioned in Schedule B of this agenda.

(B)      The Applicant must comply with any other conditions imposed by City’s Construction Regulation Unit.

(C)      The Applicant has indicated the above dates as contingency dates.

(D)      The Applicant must contact the South Sydney PAC to discuss deployment of user pay police for the road closure.

(E)      The Applicant is to obtain a Road Occupancy Licence from the Transport Management Centre prior to commencement of works.

(F)       The Applicant must provide a telephone number of the supervisor responsible for the proposed closure and include contact details in the notification letters to be distributed to affected stakeholders.

(G)      The Applicant must provide TfNSW-Accredited Traffic Controllers to safely manage the 24 Hours continuous road closure
