Recommendation

It is recommended that the Committee endorse the reallocation of parking in Alexandria as follows:

(A)      On the eastern side of Park Road, between the points 11.2 metres and 24 metres (two car spaces) north of Power Avenue as "Mobility Parking Only 8-9.30am, 2.30-4pm Mon-Fri" and "2P 9.30am-2.30pm, 4-6pm Mon-Fri";

(B)      On the western side of Park Road, between the points 25 metres and 36.4 metres (two car spaces) north of Power Avenue as "P15 8-9.30am, 2.30-4pm Mon-Fri, Authorised Save the Children Mobile Play Bus Excepted" and "No Parking All Other Times, Authorised Save the Children Mobile Play Bus Excepted";

(C)      On the western side of Park Road, between the points 0 metres and 16.8 metres (two car spaces) north of Power Avenue, as "No Stopping";

(D)      On the southern side of Power Avenue, between the points 17.7 metres and 26.1 metres (one car space) as "Mobility Parking Only 8-9.30am, 2.30-4pm Mon-Fri" and "2P 9.30am-2.30pm, 4-6pm Mon-Fri"; and

(E)       On the southern side of Power Avenue, between the points 17.7 metres and 26.1 metres (two car space) east of Park Road, as "No Stopping".

Background

Alexandria Park Community School has requested consideration of readjustment of parking to include Mobility Parking and 15-minute parking in Park Road and Power Avenue to improve pick-up and drop-off operation for the school.
