Recommendation

It is recommended that the Committee endorse the following reallocation of parking:

(A)      On the western side of Pyrmont Street between the points 17.4 metres and 25.2 metres (one car space) north of Pyrmont Bridge Road as "1P Ticket Permit Holders Excepted Area 20"; and

(B)      On the western side of Pyrmont Street between the points 34.3 metres and 39.3 metres (one car space) south of Pyrmont Bridge Road as "No Parking Authorised Car Share Vehicles Excepted.

Background

The existing car share space is located on the western side of Pyrmont Street north of Pyrmont Bridge Road next to the Pyrmont Metro Station construction site access. The car share operator has informed the City that they are required to move their car share vehicle whenever there are permits for Pyrmont Metro Station construction work to occupy the car share space. To minimise impacts to their business, the car share operator has requested the City to relocate the car share space to the western side of Pyrmont Street, south of Pyrmont Bridge Road.
