Recommendation

It is recommended that the Committee endorse the following reallocation of parking in Mountain Street, Ultimo north of Kelly Street:

(A)      On the western side of Mountain Street, Ultimo between the points 11 metres and 35.4 metres (4 car spaces) as "1/4P Ticket 7-9:30am 2:30pm-6pm Mon-Fri" and "2P Ticket 9:30am-2:30pm 6-10pm Mon-Fri 8am-10pm Sat-Sun and Public Holidays"; and

(B)      On the eastern side of Mountain Street, Ultimo between the points 16 metres and 37 metres (8 angle car spaces) as " 90 degrees Angle Parking Rear to Kerb", "1/4P Ticket 7-9:30am 2:30pm-6pm Mon-Fri" and "2P Ticket 9:30am-2:30pm 6-10pm Mon-Fri 8am-10pm Sat-Sun and Public Holidays".

Background

To improve on-street parking access for parents to pick up their children from the school on weekday afternoons, it is proposed to extend the afternoon 1/4P time restrictions to 6pm.
