It is recommended that the Committee endorse the installation of speed cushions in Buckland Lane, Alexandria, at the following locations:

(A)      At a point 26 metres west of Garden Street;

(B)      At a point  27 metres west of Gerard Street; and

(C)      At the points 65 metres and 138 metres west of Phillips Street.

Background

In June 2017, the City received a petition signed by 15 residents seeking support for traffic calming measures in Buckland Lane, Alexandria. The petition raised concerns about vehicles speeding in Buckland Lane, and future increases in traffic from WestConnex and nearby residential developments.
