(vii)      the return of Wentworth Park Greyhound Track to its original use for publicly accessible recreation facilities and open space is also a significant opportunity to provide for the needs of a growing city community;

(viii)     an upgrade of the Maybanke Recreation Centre in Pyrmont was completed in September 2016, which included an improvement to the main entry ramp, stairs and the basketball court playing surface and surrounds; and

(ix)       at its meeting on 19 February 2018, Council endorsed the sale of the Fig and Wattle Streets site, which included the provision of an additional childcare facility and two multi-use indoor recreational courts; and

(B)        the Chief Executive Officer be requested to investigate the timeframes for redeveloped community facilities at the Maybanke Centre, once the sale of the Fig and Wattle Streets site is complete and the recreational provision confirmed.
