It is resolved that:
(A)
Council approve to enter into a Deed with Sydney
Water for construction works, new landscaping, maintenance and compound areas
in Bicentennial, Jubilee and Federal Parks, as shown at Confidential Attachment
C to the subject report;
(B)
Council approve offsetting the City's land use
costs for compounds against Sydney Water's naturalisation works that will
improve the City's park land adjacent to the Johnstons
Creek Channel against the value of these works;
(C)
authority be delegated to the Chief Executive
Officer to negotiate, execute and administer a Deed to Sydney Water which
provides, amongst other matters, Sydney Water's obligations regarding the
naturalisation of the Johnstons Creek Canal and the
agreed scope of work on the City of Sydney lands;
(D)
authority be delegated to the Chief Executive
Officer to execute any other reasonably necessary documentation relating to
clause (A) above;
(E)
Council approve an Exemption from Tender for
Sydney Water to undertake the components of the project on Council-owned and
managed Crown land; and
(F)
the Chief Executive
Officer ensure that the naturalisation works do not impede sporting uses of the
park and the possible future installation of hybrid or synthetic fields.
