Reasons for Decision

The Panel approved the application as:

(A)      the proposal involves the installation of temporary structures and use of part of Sydney Square, and has acceptable environmental impacts;

(B)      the proposal will not detrimentally impact on the heritage significance of the site;

(C)      a Section 57(2) Exemption was granted by Office of Environment and Heritage and endorsed under exemption 7 involving minor activities with little or no adverse impact on heritage significance;

(D)      the proposal generally satisfies the objectives and provisions of the Sydney Local Environmental Plan 2012 and Sydney Development Control Plan 2012;

(E)      the proposal is in the public interest.
