Background
Under existing conditions, vehicles travelling westbound on
Oxford Street into Pelican Street, turn at speed through the marked pedestrian
crossing, failing to give-way to pedestrians. This scenario creates unsafe
conditions for pedestrians crossing Pelican Street.
