Advice

The Committee unanimously supported the recommendation.

Background

The Roads and Maritime Services (RMS) and the City have received a request from local businesses in Copeland Street, Alexandria, to introduce “1/4P 7am-10am” restriction to provide pick up and drop off for customers and increase the turnover of parking during the peak business period.

Copeland Street is a classified State Road under RMS control, therefore any parking changes are approved under their authority. However the proposal to install timed parking is supported by the City on behalf of the residents and local businesses.
