It is recommended that the Committee endorse the following on the eastern side of Forbes Street, Darlinghurst, north of Liverpool Street:

(A)      The relocation of the kerb island from the point 48.6 metres to 42.1 metres; and

(B)      The reallocation of parking as "No Parking" between the points 42.1 metres and 48.6 metres.

Background

The approved redevelopment of 262 Liverpool Street, Darlinghurst (D/2018/1526), includes consent for a basement carpark with vehicular access via Forbes Street.

Conditions 12, 18 and 65 of D/2018/1526 requires the applicant to make a submission to the Committee to change parking or traffic associated with the development.

In order to provide vehicular access to and from the basement carpark, the applicant has made a submission to relocate a kerb island and remove parking in Forbes Street.
