Background

The City is proposing to extend the temporary road closure of Hansard Street, Zetland between Portman Street and Joynton Avenue, from 16 July 2020 to Wednesday, 30 December 2020 (inclusive).

A previous approval was granted for the temporary road closure, however during construction works, the contractor faced unforeseen issues with existing utilities causing the need for design changes and extending the time the project has taken to complete. As a result, the temporary road closure in Hansard Street is required to be extended for a longer period.
