It is recommended that the Committee endorse the reallocation of parking on the northern side of Liverpool Street, Sydney, between the points 13.6 metres and 39.4 metres (four car spaces), west of Sussex Street as "No Stopping 6am-8pm Mon-Fri 10am-6pm Sat, Sun & Public Holidays", "2P Meter 8-10pm Mon-Fri" and "4P Meter 6-10pm Sat, Sun & Public Holidays".

Background

On 12 December 2019, the Committee endorsed the streetscape improvements in Liverpool Street. The streetscape improvements include the extension of the Liverpool Street separated cycleway from Sussex Street to Dixon Street and the installation of "No Stopping" restrictions on the northern and southern side of Liverpool Street between Dixon and Sussex Streets.

Following discussions between Place Management NSW and Transport for NSW, it is proposed to introduce part time "No Stopping" and meter parking on the northern side of Liverpool Street, between Dixon and Sussex Streets.

Comments

On 12 December 2019, the Committee endorsed the reallocation of parking of parking on the northern side of Liverpool Street, between the points 13.6 metres and 39.4 metres (four car spaces), west of Sussex Street as "No Stopping".

Following discussions between Place Management NSW and Transport for NSW, it is proposed to reallocate the kerb space as "No Stopping 6am-8pm Mon-Fri 10am-6pm Sat, Sun & Public Holidays", "2P Meter 8-10pm Mon-Fri" and "4P Meter 6-10pm Sat, Sun & Public Holidays".

Consultation

Place Management NSW will notify the local community of the parking change.

Financial

The City has accepted a funding offer from the NSW Government as part of the RMS Active Transport Program for construction of the project.
