It is recommended that the Committee endorse the reallocation of parking on the western side of Darling Street, Glebe, between the points 10 metres and 17.8 metres, south of Railway Street as "Disability Parking Only".

Background

Some people with a mobility disability, including temporary disability, are dependent on car travel by a private vehicle to maintain their mobility and independence. The City of Sydney will prioritise on-street parking for this group.

A resident of Darling Street, Glebe, has requested consideration for a mobility parking space in Darling Street, south of Railway Street. The resident holds a valid Mobility Parking Scheme permit, does not have off-street parking and has advised they are not in a wheelchair but cannot physically walk far.
