Recommendation
It is recommended that the Committee endorse the installation of the following changes in Redfern:
(A) The installation of Continuous Footpath Treatment on Louis Street, just north of Caroline Street;
(B) To replace two existing speed humps on Louis Street, with raised thresholds between the following points south of Vine Street:
· 72.8 metres and 81.3 metres;
· 117.6 metres and 126.1 metres.
(C) The allocation of kerbside restrictions as yellow "No Stopping" line as follows:
· Southern side of Vine Street, Redfern between the points 0 metres and 53.9 metres east of Louis Street;
· Eastern side of Louis Street, Redfern between the points 0 metres and 10 metres south of Vine Street.
(D) The allocation of kerbside parking as "2P 8am-10pm" as follows:
· Northern side of Vine Street, Redfern between the points 5 metres and 48.6 metres east of Louis Street;
· Eastern side of Louis Street, Redfern between the point 9.3 metres and 138.9 metres north of Caroline Street;
· Western side of Louis Street, Redfern between the following points north of Caroline Street:
· 9.3 metres and 38 metres;
· 51.1 metres and 80.3 metres;
· 129.7 metre and 140.3 metres.

Background
The Development Consent for 77-123 Eveleigh Street, Redfern
(SSD8135) requires the Applicant to provide traffic calming measures and submit
a signage plan for kerbside parking and line marking arrangements in Eveleigh,
Caroline, Vine and Louis Streets that is to be referred to the Local
Pedestrian, Cycling and Traffic Calming Committee for consideration and
endorsement.
