Recommendation

It is recommended that the Committee endorse the following in Lincoln Crescent, Woolloomooloo, north of Cowper Wharf Road:

(A)       No right turn for vehicles over six metres from Lincoln Crescent into Cowper Wharf Road;

(B)       Removal of the southbound slip lane island, at Cowper Wharf Road;

(C)       Give Way control in Lincoln Crescent at Cowper Wharf Road;

(D)       Footpath widening on the eastern and western side of Lincoln Crescent, between the points 0 metres and 19.1 metres;

(E)       Removal of the central median island between the points 0 metres and 32.2 metres;

(F)        Reallocation of parking on the eastern side of Lincoln Crescent, between the points 19.1 metres and 32.3 metres, as "2P Ticket 8am-6pm Mon-Fri" and 4P Ticket 6-10pm Mon-Fri 8am-10pm Sat-Sun & Public Holidays"; and

(G)       Reallocation of parking on the eastern side of Lincoln Crescent, between the points 129.5 metres and 153.2 metres, as "No Parking".

(C)   Stop control in Lincoln Crescent at Cowper Wharf Road.

The Committee majority supported the recommendation.

Background

Condition B24, D14 and D15 for the approved State Significant Development for the Sydney Modern Gallery (SSD 6471), requires the applicant to obtain the Committee's endorsement for any parking or traffic changes in Lincoln Crescent, Woolloomooloo.
