Advice

The Committee unanimously supported the recommendation and noted that the angle parking will be installed using temporary materials and considered as part of the review of the trial road closure at McEvoy Street which ends in November 2021.

Background

In April 2018, the City consulted the community on the Alexandria Local Area Traffic Management (LATM) Plan, which recommended several traffic calming treatments to mitigate the impacts of WestConnex on local roads.

The implementation of some treatments from the LATM have resulted in loss to kerbside parking so the City has examined other streets in Alexandria to possibly gain some parking.
