Speeding in Glebe

 

Concerns were raised about drivers speeding above the posted 40km/h speed zones in Glebe.

 

The City will advise Leichhardt Police of the speeding concerns in Camperdown, Glebe and Forest Lodge, and investigate traffic calming measures when conditions return to normal.

 

 

Pedestrian safety at the new Sydney Fish Markets

 

Concerns were raised about pedestrian safety during the construction of the new Sydney Fish Markets.

 

The City advised that the developer of the new Sydney Fish Markets is considering to install traffic signals at the intersection of Bridge and Wentworth Park Roads before the start of major works. The traffic signals will include signalised pedestrian crossings on all legs of the intersection.

 

 

Pedestrian safety in Wigram Road, Annandale, at Booth Street

 

Concerns were raised about pedestrian safety in Wigram Road at Booth Street.

Missing signalised pedestrian crossings in Newtown and Alexandria

 

Concerns were raised about missing signalised pedestrian crossings at the following signalised intersections:

 

  • King Street and Alice Street, Newtown;
  • King Street and Eliza Street, Newtown;
  • Wilson Street and Erskineville Road, Newtown;
  • Mitchell Road and Copeland Street, Alexandria; and
  • Sydney Park Road and Mitchell Road, Alexandria.

 

The City advised that the missing signalised pedestrian crossing at Mitchell Road and Copeland Street will be installed as part of the Alexandria LATM, and the missing signalised pedestrian crossing at Sydney Park Road and Mitchell Road will be installed as part of the Sydney Park Junction project.

 

Transport for New South Wales (TfNSW) will investigate the missing signalised pedestrian crossings in Newtown.
