The Committee unanimously supported the recommendation.
Background
As part of the City's recovery plan to support communities
during the pandemic, the City will be activating a series of road closure
programs. This initiative is an opportunity for local businesses to extend
their trade onto footpaths and outdoor settings.
At the LPCTCC meeting on 25 November 2021, the Committee
endorsed the temporary road closures for the City's COVID-19 Recovery Road
Closure Program at Stanley Street, Darlinghurst on Saturday 15 January 2022
from 6am to 11.59pm. Due to the pandemic and health restrictions, the event and
temporary road closures was cancelled and rescheduled to the new date of
Saturday 12 March 2022 from 6am to 11.59pm.
