Recommendation

It is recommended that the Committee endorse the following allocation of parking in Baptist Lane, Redfern:

(A)      The allocation of kerbside parking as yellow "No Stopping" line:

·                On eastern side of Baptist Lane, between the points 10 metres and 13.6 metres, north of Phillip Street;

·                On eastern side of Baptist Lane, between the points 117.5 metres and 127 metres north of Phillip Street south of Zamia Street;

·                 On western side of Baptist Lane, between the points 117.5 metres and 127 metres north of Phillip Street;

·                On eastern side of Baptist Lane, between the points 0 metres and 10 metres north of Telopea Street;

·                 On western side of Baptist Lane, between the points 0 metres and 10 metres north of Telopea Street;

·                On western side of Baptist Lane, between the points 106.2 metres and 116.2 metres north of Zamia Street;

·                On western side of Baptist Lane, between the points 88.2 metres and 98.2 metres north of Telopea Street;

·                On eastern side of Baptist Lane, between the points 83.4 metres and 100 metres north of Telopea Street;

·                On western side of Baptist Lane, between the points 0 metres and 10 metres north of Boronia Street; and

·                On eastern side of Baptist Lane, between the points 0 metres and 10 metres north of Boronia Street.

(B)      The allocation of kerbside parking as "No Parking":

·                On eastern side of Baptist Lane, between the points 13.6 metres and 64 metres north of Phillip Street;

·                On western side of Baptist Lane, between the points 10 metres and 117.5 metres, north of Phillip Street;

·                On western side of Baptist Lane, between the points 10 metres and 106.2 metres, north of Zamia Street;

·                On western side of Baptist Lane, between the points 10 metres and 88.2 metres, north of Telopea Street;

·                On eastern side of Baptist Lane, between the points 51.3 metres and 66.4 metres north of Telopea Street; and

·                On eastern side of Baptist Lane, between the points 10 metres and 39.1 metres north of Boronia Street.

(C)      The allocation of kerbside parking as "No Parking 6am-6pm Weds Only":

·                On eastern side of Baptist Lane, between the points 10 metres and 24.2 metres north of Zamia Street.

·                On eastern side of Baptist Lane, between the points 39 metres and 104 metres north of Telopea Street;

·                On eastern side of Baptist Lane, between the points 10 metres and 51.3 metres  north of Telopea Street;

·                On eastern side of Baptist Lane, between the points 66.4 metres and 83.4 metres north of Telopea Street; and

·                On western side of Baptist Lane, between the points 10 metres and 39.1 metres north of Boronia Street.

The Committee noted a correction to the proposed parking on the western side of Baptist Lane, between the points 10 metres and 39.1 metres north of Boronia Street to be "No Parking 6am-6pm Weds Only".

Background

The City's Waste Management Team has requested consideration of "No Parking" to improve access for waste vehicles in Baptist Lane, Redfern.
