Recommendation

It is recommended that the Committee endorse the reallocation of parking on the eastern side of Barr Street, Camperdown, between the points 10 metres and 15 metres (one car space), north of Parramatta Road as "No Parking Authorised Car Share Vehicles Excepted Bay 861",subject to the following:

(A)      The City will only install signage for the car share space when Hertz has a car to occupy the space.

The Committee carried the recommendation unanimously and the Committee noted the change of car share operator from GoGet to Hertz.

Background

The City is committed to providing dedicated parking for car sharing across the Local Government Area as part of a Council approved Car Share Policy. A submission has been received from GoGet for a car share space in Barr Street, Camperdown, north of Parramatta Road.
