Recommendation

It is recommended that the Committee endorse the reallocation of parking on the western side of Jones Street, Ultimo between the points 17 metres and 29 metres (two car spaces) south of Quarry Street as "1/4P 7.30am-6pm Mon-Fri" and "2P Ticket 8am-7pm Sat-Sun & Public Holidays Permit Holders Excepted Area 20".

·         “No Parking 7.30am-6pm Mon-Fri" and "2P Ticket 8am-7pm Sat-Sun & Public Holidays Permit Holders Excepted Area 20"

The City will monitor the No Parking restriction over a period of six months to ensure vehicles do not encroach into the Bus Zone.

Background

Ultimo Public School has requested consideration of short term parking along its Jones Street frontage to improve on-street parking access for drivers to pick up and drop off passengers.
