Recommendation

It is recommended that the Committee endorse the following reallocation of parking on the eastern side of Cumberland Street, The Rocks, north of Gloucester Street:

(A)      Between the points 128 metre and 136 metre as "Mail Zone Mon-Fri" and "4P Ticket Meter 8am-10pm Sat Sun & Public Holidays;

(B)      Between the points 120 metre and 128 metre as "Loading Zone 6am-6pm Mon-Fri" and "4P Ticket Meter 6-10pm Mon-Fri 8am-10pm Sat Sun & Public Holidays"; and

(C)      Between the points 153 metre and 263 metre as "Works Zone 7am-6pm Mon-Fri 7am-1pm Sat" and "4P Ticket Meter 6-10pm Mon-Fri 1-10pm Sat & 8am-10pm Sun & Public Holidays".

Background

Place Management NSW (PMNSW) has requested endorsement for the change of parking times on Cumberland St. The Rocks.

The proposed changes will increase parking options and opportunities for retailers, visitors and businesses in the area therefore improving the customer experience.

BridgeClimb has commented about the lack of 4P parking in the area and when Sirius took over the adjacent parking as a work zone. This will cater to busy period of the operator.
