Recommendation

It is recommended that the Committee endorse the following reallocation of parking on the eastern side of Quay Street, Haymarket north of Ultimo Road:

(A)      Between the points 63 metres and 75 metres as "Loading Zone 30mins Ticket Meter 6am-12pm Mon-Fri", "2P Ticket Meter 12-10pm Mon-Fri" and "4P Meter 8am-10pm Sat Sun & Public Holidays"; and

(B)      Between the points 96 metres and 111 metres as "Loading Zone 30mins Ticket Meter 6am-6pm" and "4P Ticket Meter 6-10pm".

Background

Place Management NSW (PMNSW) is requesting to change a No Stopping Zone on the eastern side of Quay St Haymarket into a loading zone during specific times including weekends. The entry and exit to Market City is often obstructed buy vehicle loading and unloading due to the lack of loading zones in the area and proximity of exiting loading zones to the loading dock.

A second change is to the times of the existing Loading Zone on Quay St will also support motorists delivering goods and services to Haymarket therefore improving customer experience.
